Wimpole Multi-Use Trail

The Wimpole multi-use trail is a purpose-built route that loops through the wider estate, giving visitors the chance to experience the landscape beyond the main house and formal gardens. Designed to be accessible and off-road, it provides a smooth, relatively even surface suitable for a wide range of users, including families, cyclists, runners and mobility aids.
As you follow the route, the trail takes you through a varied landscape of open arable fields, mature woodland and quiet bridleways, revealing the full scale and diversity of the estate. Riders and walkers can enjoy sweeping views across parkland shaped by historic landscape designers, as well as glimpses of farmland still actively managed today.
The trail was created to improve access while protecting the historic environment, including sensitive archaeology and ancient tree roots, making it both a leisure route and a conservation-conscious design.
